5 tips to feel good when waking up

Hard, hard to wake up on the right foot and cool as a cucumber. You count the days before the weekend... STOP! Being a zombie in the morning is not a fatality. Antwan's Health shares his tricks to be fit and start the day in a good mood.



Waking up without breaking your sleep cycle

Rest assured, you are not the only one having trouble getting up in the morning. Interrupting in the cycle of sleep, we often have only one desire: crawling into a ball and continuing to sleep, a true larvae in our bed. But duty calls us and we drag ourselves to the shower.

To avoid this comatose state, it is better to wake up naturally. Even if your alarm clock rings 30 minutes later, take your courage with both hands and start your day a little earlier than expected. There are applications capable of following your sleep and awakening during the shallower phase. Play sports

Do not panic, we are not there to advise you to do a cardio session of 1:30 AM. No, no. In the morning, it's always a bit of a race but I try to do a few minutes of sport, to keep my body fit. Once out of bed, I pull out my gym mat to execute yoga routine that I learned on YouTube. Perfect to stretch gently and awaken our muscles.

Shower at different temperatures

You may not know it, but a cold shower has many benefits: it awakens the body, boosts your immune system and makes your hair shinier - among others things. Some will manage to shower in cold water ... But for me, it is still quite difficult, I prefer to take a warm shower and lower the temperature gradually to rinse my hair with cold water.

Have a great breakfast

It is proven that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! To adopt a healthier lifestyle, I began by exchanging my Nutella sandwiches to a complete breakfast. There is nothing better to start the day in a good mood. On my side, is often a glass of fruit juice, a slice of jam, and a fresh fruit. Also some white cheese with some muesli or cranberries. No snack at 11am. Repeat after me: no snacking!

Do not hesitate to replace coffee with tea which is much better for the body (it has antioxidant effects and helps prevent the development of certain cancers). There are so many kinds that you should definitely find one that suits your taste.

Rebooting when needed



Winter puts you in a K.O. mode really fast. Even with a natural awakening and a complete breakfast, the cold, the fatigue and the lack of light can sometimes break you. To avoid the zombie mode, I advise that you take food supplements (omega 3, 6, 9 for example). This year, I chose an organic option: a cure of manuka honey for 20 days, which was perfect to alleviate the winter's fatigue during my period of heavy work.
